Git Bash as the default shell on Windows. Resolves bash.exe from git --exec-path (never the WSL stub), exposes a run_shell tool, and degrades visibly instead of disappearing when Git Bash is missing.

Replaces the sidebar account label — the phone number, email, username, or account name — and avatar with your own display name and image. A new "Edit display name" row in the account menu opens one dialog for both, so screenshots do not expose the original.

Read-only DeepSeek web archive tools for DSH: list/download/search sessions, share-list, and a digest tool that compresses the 100-session history into one high-density page with activity bars and topic clusters. Write operations are intentionally not exposed (the web client rate-limits them). Select text in a DSH conversation, a file preview or the terminal to quote it: the floating bar offers Comment, Add to chat and Side chat, and Alt+Q / Alt+C / Alt+B do the same three things. The quote - and its comment, kept in the same chip - is inserted as a native reference chip, and a sent quote stays one rounded capsule in the message that expands on click and can be copied. A hover card can jump back to the message a quote came from, and the right sidebar carries a quote list page that searches every quote of the session, jumps back to any of them and exports them as Markdown. Side chat writes the quote into the composer of one dsh-better-sidebar side thread per conversation without sending it, and that page can bring the thread conclusion back into the main composer or export it as a file. A sent quote can also be revised: the card puts its old comment back in the comment box, the corrected quote is sent as a new message, and the old capsule is marked as superseded (the transcript itself is append-only).

Exposes the models already configured in DeepSeek Harness through an OpenAI-compatible gateway, so other local projects can call them with any standard OpenAI client. Multiple provider candidates share one named group with ordered, balanced or random dispatch; upstream failures before any output switch to the next candidate transparently, and rate-limited requests are retried after the provider's backoff. Per-candidate call statistics (attempts, answers, failures, token/TTFT totals) appear as badges in the settings page, and daily aggregates persist to a local file with a 30-day heatmap and trend view. Until you create a key in the UI, the endpoint accepts calls from anyone who can reach it; keys (stored as SHA-256 hashes) then turn authentication on, and the endpoint stays locked even after the last key is revoked. Exposing the optional LAN listener without a key leaves the port open to the whole network. Runs on DSH 0.1.2-rc.1 through 0.1.7-alpha.1 and later.
