dsh-thinking-cn (zh-thinking)
lzyxczw-cyber/dsh-thinking-cn/skills/zh-thinking
Skill that switches the displayed reasoning to Simplified Chinese: it enables the built-in experimental reasoning translation, pins provider bing and target language zh, then verifies and troubleshoots the result. The same repository also ships an optional one-install preset plugin for users who want the same setup without running the steps. Requires the DSH 0.2.1 line with the experimental reasoning-translation bundle and a Web or Desktop GUI; the default provider is bing, so expanded reasoning text is sent to Bing.

README
中文思考 / Chinese Thinking
A DeepSeek Harness bundle that makes the model's expanded reasoning read in Simplified
Chinese. It mounts the harness's shipped experimental reasoning translation
(@deepseek-ai/dsh-experimental-translator +
@deepseek-ai/dsh-experimental-client-ui-cot-translation) and pins its configuration to
provider: bing, targetLanguage: zh.
This repository ships two artifacts:
skills/zh-thinking— the marketplace listing (skillcategory). A skill the agent can load to switch a user's reasoning display to Simplified Chinese, with the manual configuration procedure and troubleshooting. The curated list does not accept a configuration-only preset as a plugin entry (its review requires an implementation of the plugin's own), so the listed item is the skill.- the repository root — one-install preset plugin (not listed, installable from GitHub).
It mounts the shipped experimental reasoning-translation rows with
provider: bing, targetLanguage: zh, so installing it needs no manual configuration. It is a configuration bundle: the translation itself — paragraph scheduling, the "View original" toggle, per-session result storage — is the shipped experimental feature.
Install
Preset plugin (one install, no manual configuration):
dsh plugin add github:lzyxczw-cyber/dsh-thinking-cn
Skill (the marketplace-listed artifact; installs the zh-thinking skill):
dsh plugin add github:lzyxczw-cyber/dsh-thinking-cn#path:/skills/zh-thinking
Then restart the profile if your host asks. In DSH Desktop, open Settings → Plugins →
Add, paste the repository URL (add #path:/skills/zh-thinking for the skill), and install
from there.
The bundle requires a DSH build that ships the two experimental reasoning-translation
packages (the 0.2.1 line, >=0.2.1-alpha.2 <0.3.0).
Use
With the skill installed, ask the agent for Chinese reasoning ("用中文思考" / "把思考过程翻译成中文");
it loads zh-thinking and follows the procedure in
skills/zh-thinking/SKILL.md — enable the shipped
Reasoning translation, pin provider: bing / targetLanguage: zh, verify, and troubleshoot.
With the preset plugin installed, no configuration is needed:
- Send any prompt that produces reasoning, then expand the Think row.
- Completed paragraphs of the expanded body are translated into Simplified Chinese as they arrive; the unfinished tail stays in the original language.
- The toolbar above the body switches between View original and View translation without another request.
- Translations are stored as
plugin:translator/requestandplugin:translator/resultrecords in the session, so collapsing and re-expanding, reloading the page, or restarting the host reuses them without calling the provider again.
Expanded reasoning is translated through the anonymous Microsoft Edge (Bing) endpoint: no login, no API key, no per-fragment billing. The selected provider receives the source text; the original reasoning stays in the session and in model input unchanged.
Configuration
The defaults are defined in cordis.patch.yml. To change the provider
or target language without editing this package, override the row in your profile patch:
- id: cot-translation
name: '@deepseek-ai/dsh-experimental-client-ui-cot-translation'
config:
provider: bing # bing | google | deepseek-account | deepseek-official
targetLanguage: zh # BCP 47 tag, or auto to follow the UI language
deepseek-account / deepseek-official issue independent paid DeepSeek Flash requests and
need an already configured account or API credential. Anonymous endpoints never fall back
to another provider.
Known limitations
- Only the expanded body is translated; the collapsed one-line summary stays in the original language.
- Translation starts when a reasoning body is expanded, not while it is collapsed.
- Anonymous Bing/Google endpoints may rate-limit or become unavailable; a failure keeps the original body and offers Retry.
- Translated Markdown or code formatting may differ from the original; the original is always one click away.
- This bundle and the official Reasoning translation experiment mount the same two
row ids. Keep only one of them active: if the official bundle is enabled later, enable
that one's settings page and set the target language to
zhinstead of relying on this patch.
Requirements
- DSH with the experimental reasoning-translation packages available to the loader
(
0.2.1line). - The Web or Desktop GUI; the feature is a client-side view and does not change what the model sees.
