Locks the model's reasoning, replies and tool-call descriptions to a chosen target language (Simplified Chinese by default) with system-prompt sections at the head, middle and tail of the prompt, offering three strength levels, an auto mode that follows the DSH interface language, a settings panel that shows the language currently in effect, and a sidebar quick switch.

A portrait layer keeps a workspace and a global picture, rewritten from the journal and the records, with the same draft-or-direct choice. Settings → Memory holds the archive, list and timeline views, a health check (duplicate clusters, stale entries, broken links), the supersede version chain with rollback, and a read-only scan that imports existing WorkBuddy / Qoder memory files.

Local music player: scans a folder for audio and video files, plays them in a Music tab with crossfade, a 10-band EQ and ReplayGain, and can write matched tags, covers and filenames back to the files with atomic replacement.

Let Agents directly control independent local DSH instances with zero intrusion—no plugins or components required on the target. Isolated environments enable autonomous configuration and testing, while Agents with different models and personalities can chat, role-play, or form nested control chains. A Herta theme for DeepSeek Harness: an ASCII boot opening ported from the upstream Herta project, a violet palette of design tokens, swappable wallpapers (four bundled, plus image URL, local import, solid colour or off) and a "Herta Appearance" page in DSH settings. Doubles as the theme that dsh-herta ships with.

Project-level memory built around a ledger whose structure the AI designs per project; the plugin only handles detection, injection, write-back, archiving and git. Memories are split by meaning: the active ledger holds current state, the turn journal is append-only, and decisions, the goal tree and lessons are one-card-per-file (with a multi-dimension index over the card folders); the fundamental principles file can be changed only by the user. There is a single compaction mode: before compacting, the AI sorts the work into three buckets - what must stay in context and is re-injected verbatim, what is written to the project's _stash/ for later lookup, and what is dropped. When a conversation is opened in a container workspace holding several projects, it can be locked to one sub-project (the lock lives in the plugin's own home and survives restarts; it leaves no marker in your project). Also an activity log with five levels, where L4 stores the user's own words verbatim (never injected, queryable on demand). Before each compaction a verbatim capsule (user quotes, raw errors, changed files) is written to disk, and both the capsule and its source material survive a restart; a handoff document lets a new conversation resume the previous one. 21 tools, 12 subcommands, 39 settings (one of them switches whether the settings panel or each project's manifest wins). Runs locally, no runtime dependencies.

One authenticated OpenAI-compatible endpoint (built on CLIProxyAPI) for dsh and other tools: gathers WorkBuddy, OpenCode Zen, local Ollama / LM Studio and CLI subscriptions such as Codex and Kimi, signs in from the dsh page without installing their CLIs, and syncs the picked models into dsh grouped by source. The settings page has a switch per source with free / paid tags, plan usage, API keys with 24-hour stats, per-source model picking, and update / uninstall. Runs on macOS, Linux (including next to dsh-vps) and Windows.
