Pins the model's reasoning language to a tier picked in Settings - General - Thinking language (Simplified Chinese, or a default tier that only constrains replies and leaves reasoning to the model), by injecting a system-prompt section at order -1000000 and re-hoisting it to first place at the end of the assemble waterfall, plus an optional per-turn copy placed ahead of each user message for models that follow static sections weakly.

Puts the Markdown documents, source files, images and video that already exist anywhere in the session workspace into the DSH sidebar, ranked by relevance to the current conversation. The default lexical mode matches your recent messages against title, summary and body locally with IDF weighting (BM25) — no model calls, no network, nothing leaves the machine. The list comes from scanning the workspace rather than from a recent-files list, so restarting DSH or opening a new session does not empty it. Results are organised into a three-tier reading order (primary / supporting / related) with a verifiable reason on every row — which field matched, which document cites this one — and one click opens an in-place preview: Markdown as rendered text, relative-path images actually drawn, source code with the host's own syntax highlighting, video streamed over HTTP Range. The same Context Pack is exposed to the agent as a knit_docs tool. Later versions added read evidence and lifecycle tracking (attribution is frozen at the moment of reading), pin / exclude (exclusion applies before retrieval, and is undoable), relation evidence (references / imports / tests, with line numbers) and an incremental index reused across restarts. Since v0.23 there is also an optional hybrid mode: it is off by default and only runs once you configure an Ollama or OpenAI-compatible embedding provider yourself. When it runs, what leaves the machine is your query text plus each candidate file's title and summary — a Markdown summary is an excerpt of the body's first paragraph (at most 60 characters), a code file's summary is its workspace-relative directory, and an image or video contributes its file name; full bodies and absolute paths are not sent, and a loopback provider keeps everything on this machine. Since v0.24 it also associates uncommitted changes: a read-only git status (fixed argv, no shell, whitelisted child-process environment) combined with the same reference / import / test / mention evidence shows which files a change is likely to drag along, and it is off by default. The benefit of semantic retrieval still awaits a real-provider run, so no recall improvement is claimed.

Also gives the store observability and upkeep it lacked: a per-file boot-block budget that keeps the index routing table from being truncated, automatic last_access stamping so salience decay actually works, a read-only memory health dashboard (size, freshness, lint-parity checks), a declarative index compiler (pages declare summary:, one command re-lines the index), an interactive memory graph (page links plus shared tags, draggable, wheel zoom), structured queries (tag/type/salience/hot/stale filters), cross-link suggestions for pages that have no relationship yet, and a `checkup` report that ends in a prioritised action list. The boot payload was also cut by ~23% by moving operational detail into the on-demand skill. Its settings section now carries its own navigation mark (a brain half wired to a node cluster, since the shell offers no icon slot to plugins) and a feedback entry that opens this repository. Requires DSH session format v4 (official DeepSeek Harness 0.1.7+): injected messages declare the producer-owned source kind plugin:memory. v0.11 added a bilingual settings panel whose copy and sidebar label follow DSH language setting (中文「记忆」/ English "Memory"); v0.12 added the shared cross-plugin speech floor, a context-sensitive tone section and a weekly growth recap; v0.13 declares its DSH compatibility via engines.dsh (official 0.2.1-rc.5 series; older hosts are refused by the gate), adds a "Review now" button (POST /api/memory/control, action growth-now) that sends one growth recap immediately while still respecting the speech floor, panel accessibility (aria labels, status and alert roles, focus-visible rings), and the public PROACTIVE-PROTOCOL.md. v0.14 adds per-session memory: a composer chip with a dropdown (this session / workspace default), the /memory on|off|status command, and a settings-panel switch all flip the same gate — off means no boot injection, no digest/recall nudges and no last_access stamping for that session (nothing is deleted); disabledWorkspaces lets whole projects default to off, and session choices persist for 7 days. v0.15 adds a Basic soul (quick forging) card: my name / what I call you / baseline persona, saved into a managed block inside SOUL.md (the rest of the file is left untouched) and marks BOOTSTRAP complete; existing chat-forged souls are echoed from the SOUL text, and the boot block now asks the agent to remind the user to forge first when no soul exists yet.

Pauses the agent right before it sends the next model request of a tool round while keeping the composer usable: a bare Enter or the resume button lets it continue, and text typed meanwhile is sent along as a steering message; the pause never interrupts an in-flight API call and the model does not notice it.

Design workbench in the right sidebar. When the model builds web pages, app screens, WeChat mini programs, posters, slides or emails, each HTML file shows up as a screen on a canvas inside a device frame and refreshes when the file changes; local dev servers are proxied with hot reload intact. Mini program screens get the WeChat capsule in the top-right corner, which turns white over a dark top bar, and the design check flags text and buttons hidden under it. Click an element or drag a region to put its selector, source file and styles into the composer. Also has a design tokens panel, fifteen style presets, a style panel (font size, colors, radius, padding and more) that writes back to the HTML or hands the change to the model together with the CSS rule and line behind each property, versions saved before and after each turn with drag-to-compare and restore, export to images, PDF and PPTX (links between screens stay clickable), a LAN QR link for viewing on a phone, link arrows and a click-through demo mode, a multi-size view, in-place text editing, reference-image palettes, and a design check (overflowing, clipped or overlapping text, contrast, tap target size and more). Bundles a ui-design skill and six tools: preview_page opens a preview; check_design measures every screen at real sizes in a hidden local Chrome or Edge (bars covering content, script errors, missing assets, dead links; CSS file and line for contrast and font-size issues; cropped screenshots of serious problems); look_design hands real screenshots to the model; extract_design_system builds a design system from a site or project; handoff_design writes a handoff pack (screenshots, routes, tokens, shared components); compare_design diffs the built local page against the design and marks what differs. Adds a Design mode for new sessions (Standard mode's tools plus the skill, the six tools and a design persona); each part has its own switch on the Plugins page. When DSH is opened from a phone or another computer, local-file designs are bundled into a sandboxed frame so they still show.
