Fetches random cat facts and images from public APIs for AI agents.

0.8.6 fixes a startup crash: the host runtime package is an optional peer, never an installed dependency. TypeSafe Jev (System One decision model) wired end to end into DeepSeek Harness (0.8.6). Seven tools: jev_decision (1-25 parallel atomic verdicts in one call; noul/choice/score; typed answers with calibrated confidence; measured median 266-484 ms; verdicts only, never prose), jev_choose (rank 2-10 candidate approaches - fit 0-3 and risk - into an explicit composite with a recommended pick), jev_batch (NEW in 0.8.6: one set of 1-5 judgments over 1-20 texts, one real call per text at bounded concurrency, returning a paste-ready markdown table sortable by a judged dimension; built-in sentiment/priority/intent/pii/spam presets; a failed row is reported as failed with the raw error, never guessed), jev_usage (locally measured usage: calls, tokens, estimated cost, latency median and p95, per-tool mix, rolling windows, projected burn rate, optional local hard budgets, and a declared-balance remainder), jev_overview (session ledger), jev_guard_status (guard counters plus a registrations block that surfaces per-surface registration failures) and jev_verify (frozen 27-question live benchmark at concurrency 6: 96.3%, 26/27). WHAT IS NEW IN 0.8.6 - the ledger survives a restart, the remainder is derived instead of invented, and the plugin can now do batch paperwork. (1) The local ledger persists to $DSH_HOME/jev-usage.json BY DEFAULT, so the cumulative total no longer resets when the host restarts. Two real bugs behind the old silent zero were found and fixed: the ledger path only honoured DSH_HOME (absent inside the host process, so persistence was silently disabled and the file name was null), and save() wrote the still-empty in-memory ring over the history file because it ran before the first load while the debounce window swallowed the follow-up write. (2) Remaining is derived, never invented: TypeSafe exposes no balance endpoint - /v1/usage, /v1/quota, /v1/account, /v1/account/balance, /v1/balance, /v1/credits, /v1/billing, /v1/me, /v1/limits and a dozen more all return 404, and only /v1/models answers, with no balance headers - so the panel shows the remainder as your declared balance (quota.declaredBalanceUsd) minus locally measured spend since quota.balanceSince, and says plainly that it cannot be fetched instead of printing a number. (3) The composer pill re-reads every 20 s instead of every 60 s, so a call you just made shows up while you are still looking at it. (4) The collapsed pill leads with the remainder once you declare a balance, and the cumulative row is renamed when the ledger is on disk. Every tool has an in-conversation structured view; the Settings > Plugins card covers credentials, tool switches, the auto-guard, the dashboard, the prompt section, usage/quota and auto-triage. Honest by design: no API key means an explicit error, never fabricated results; every registration is quarantined so a failure degrades one surface. Tests 38/38 (npm test, ~2.5 s). Client half applies on refresh; server half needs a host restart.

Searches wallhaven.cc from a settings page and sets any wallpaper as the DSH web GUI background, with opacity, blur and scrim controls, a sidebar shuffle button and one-click original download; all fetching runs in the host process, so the browser never needs to reach wallhaven.

Image generation workbench and agent tool for DSH: one tool (ark9_generate_image) paints text-to-image and image-to-image via any OpenAI-compatible API. Channels are entirely user-configured - no bundled endpoint, you bring your own baseURL, key and model name (manual input supported). Agent-initiated generations are approval-gated by default: requests queue in the floating panel and nothing bills until you approve; approval is non-blocking (the agent replies "awaiting your approval" immediately, and results, denials or timeouts are injected back so the agent reports them in the next turn). Floating glass workbench with five tabs (Generate / Approvals / Prompts / History / About), aspect-ratio grid with quality-budget + 16px-alignment sizing, transparent background, batch up to 10 images as aggregated sub-tasks, prompt library with custom JSON sources fetched through a host proxy, persistent generation logs with one-click retry, multi-channel aggregation with per-channel model fetching, bilingual UI (zh/en), stroke-SVG icon set, config import/export. Composer code-quote collapse for the DSH Web UI: pasting a `path:line` header followed by code folds the input into one compact inline quote chip, and at send time the `agent/pre-step` hook injects the full pasted snapshot to the model as a separate context message. 0.5.x also folds sidebar file-selections that insert only a `path:lines` line (large selections), fetching the code from disk by session cwd, and preempts Ctrl+V paste interception.

Raises Node's HTTP headers/body timeouts for the whole DSH process (default 30 min, proxy-aware) so Ollama and LM Studio models that stay silent while thinking or generating a large tool call are not cut off at 5 minutes; replaces the node_modules undici patch.

fastCRW-backed web search and fetch providers for DeepSeek Harness (ctx.web)

Outbound route pool for DeepSeek Harness. Ships 15 seed routes plus a 20-entry candidate pool covering 7 target kinds (GitHub raw/codeload/main, npm registry, PyPI index, HuggingFace, general). Routes are verified before use: upstream IP lists go through a TLS handshake with full certificate-chain validation (a bare TCP check can be answered locally and report dead IPs as healthy), and failures advance a cooldown ladder of 2/5/15 minutes with the fastest healthy route picked per target kind. Routes are applied by rewriting the URL with one of four rules (prefix, registry, index, host-replace), reaching git, pip, npm, pnpm, gh, curl and wget through three paths: the shell seam (download commands the model runs through the bash tool are intercepted and rewritten automatically; commands wrapped by the pwsh tool, and fetches made by the host itself or the renderer, are not covered), two registered tools the model can call directly (line_pool_status, line_pool_run), and child-process spawn. Multi-line commands keep their line breaks and only the download segment is touched. URLs carrying credentials (user:token@host) are never rewritten, so tokens are not forwarded to third-party mirrors. No global config is modified. A sidebar panel lists every route with latency, failure reason and cooldown countdown, supports per-route retest and enable/disable, and shows live TUN/proxy status from network-adapter and loopback port checks. The candidate pool is re-verified every 24 hours so newly usable routes are added and dead ones dropped. 570 tests, 87% line coverage.

A small dock in the DSH Web UI: restart the host or reload the page in one click. Restart asks first (now / 30s / 60s / 2min / cancel); the dock drags to any edge only after a 320ms hold, and stays anchored when the window resizes. Refresh refuses to run unless the plugin bundle is verifiably loadable (timestamp baseline + real bundle fetch + syntax compile), so a reload can never brick the app. Restart is Windows-only (PowerShell 5.1); the UI and page refresh work on all platforms.

Daily AI digest by email: fetches ten sources (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, Hugging Face, arXiv, Hacker News and others), clusters near-duplicate stories, scores them in code and with an LLM, then emails the top three on a daily schedule with a four-part reading (facts, why it matters, impact, open questions). Adds four conversation tools and a sidebar panel for previewing the digest, sending it now and changing the schedule.

Investment research bundle: 10 tools (search, page fetch, source audit, claim verification, numeric rigor, channel health, workflow loader, chart engine, PDF renderer, PDF gate) and 23 skills adapted from ai-berkshire. Skill-creation console for the Web UI: fetches the official creator skills, hands the requirements to the Huawei Cloud, generic, or REST API creator, then scores the generated skill against a 10-point rubric and returns the itemised deductions to the creator until it reaches 8.5/10.

Decodo Web Data API as the fetch provider behind the built-in web_fetch tool: returns Markdown by default, pins fetchProvider to decodo, and enforces a configurable per-process fetch cap. Requires a Decodo API key; web_search is unchanged.

Exposes a stdio MCP server as native DeepSeek Harness tools. Ships with the official Microsoft Playwright MCP preset, so the agent browses through the Edge or Chrome you already have open, with your logins intact; any other stdio MCP command can be configured instead. Host-only, no client bundle, no npm dependencies. To drive your own browser, start Edge/Chrome with remote debugging and allow npx to fetch @playwright/mcp.
