Force the model to reply in a specific language (Simplified Chinese by default) in DeepSeek Harness (DSH) — switchable at any time via a tool.

Features

• Injects a system-prompt section that requires the model to write all replies in the configured language — explanations, summaries, body text and error messages included
• Code, commands, file paths, API names and proper nouns stay in their original form
• Ships two model tools:
  • reply_language_set — switch the required reply language on the fly (e.g. 中文, English, 日本語, Français); takes effect immediately
  • reply_language_get — show the currently required reply language

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-reply-language

Or add it to your profile's package.json dependencies and list it under dsh.profile.bundles, then restart dsh web.

How it works

The plugin registers a system-prompt section (order: 900) that pins the reply-language requirement above any language hints in user messages, until explicitly changed via reply_language_set. Host-only bundle — no client UI.

Configuration

No configuration required. The default language is Simplified Chinese; change it at runtime with the reply_language_set tool.
