Color presets and a custom paper-color picker for the built-in DSH sidebar PDF, converted Office, and spreadsheet previews, with dark-mode brightness control and locally saved preferences; changes only the display, not the files.

Opens chat.deepseek.com inside DSH Desktop from a conversation view tab (next to Chat / Trajectory / Context, scoped to the open conversation) and from a left-rail globe button — all entries share one embedded page, so switching between them never reloads it. Keeps you signed in across restarts by replaying a localStorage plus readable-cookie snapshot before the page's own scripts run, strips only the Electron/<version> token from the user agent, and keeps navigation inside deepseek.com while sending everything else to the system browser. Pure client code: no host-side script, no file access, no credential service, no server route.

Local dev panel for the DSH web GUI: follow service logs, start/stop workspace programs, debug Java over JDWP, browse and edit workspace files, and search file names. Needs DSH 0.2.0-rc.2 or later; starting or debugging Java programs needs a local JDK and Maven, and starting front-end programs needs Node.

Annotation browser in the DSH sidebar: a real Chrome page streamed over CDP with input forwarded, where picking an element or selecting text attaches its source location, component stack, styles and a crop to the chat input. Needs a local Chrome (on Windows set chromePath).

Two DeepSeek Harness tools for the local tempguard watchdog: read temperatures and alertd health, and send alerts through alertd; it does not start or stop the watchdog. Needs the separate tempguard Python watchdog and its alertd service running locally, with projectDir and alertdToken set in the profile patch; there is no npm package, so install from a local clone of the repository subfolder.

Drive local Origin/OriginPro from chat via 27 MCP tools: import .dat/.csv/.txt and CHI workstation .bin files, plot, style, fit, and deliver PNG/TIF/SVG/PDF plus an editable .opju project, with read-back verification on plots, styles and exports. Requires Windows, Origin/OriginPro 2021+ and Python 3.10+, plus `pip install originpro numpy` into the interpreter dsh launches: without the package every tool answers `missing_originpro`, and without an interpreter on PATH no tools register at all.

New in v0.2.0, an AI companion in the DSH right sidebar: read local TXT novels while a companion character comments on whatever you just read, on a timer or on demand, in four styles, floating in the corner with a speech bubble. Pick any model provider registered in DSH, or your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint and API key; off by default, and when something breaks it names the exact route and the reason. Add your own TXT, split into chapters and rendered one at a time with adjustable font size and line height; five reading themes; annotations and reading progress written back to the same files the novel-reader desktop app uses; Chinese and English UI.

A separate narrow-screen web surface for DeepSeek Harness rather than the desktop GUI scaled down: it serves its own session list and chat stream behind a random access token over LAN, a tunnel (cloudflared, localtunnel or localhost.run) or an SSH reverse forward through a server you own. On the phone it streams assistant text, thinking, tool calls and results, sends prompts, stops the running turn, answers blocking questions and tool approvals (including ones waiting in other sessions), switches model, thinking level and permission preset, sends up to four photos compressed on the device, and keeps the computer awake.

Connects DSH to local HTTP proxies automatically via a loopback relay. No TUN, no env vars, zero-restart switching, with sidebar/composer dock controls and live topology.

Privacy: media goes to remote providers by default; strictLocalOnly keeps content on-machine. Prerequisites not shipped with the package: ffmpeg/ffprobe on PATH (frame sampling / reencode / duration probe; degrades to metadata when missing) and a user-configured local ASR CLI for the audio fallback. Registers an `image2_generate` tool that calls your own OpenAI-compatible image relay to generate or edit pictures (text-to-image via POST /images/generations, image-to-image via POST /images/edits with a local PNG/JPEG/WebP reference, accepting b64_json or image URLs), saves them in the session working directory, and renders them inline in the conversation through its `@wisdoverse/dsh-inline-media-viewer` dependency.

Embeds the DeepSeek web chat (chat.deepseek.com) in a DSH Desktop main panel through an Electron webview guest, with a back/forward/reload toolbar and a local snapshot of login-related localStorage restored on the next open.
